WHEELOCK'S ENERGY FAIR
The Energy Fair on May 17, 2025 at Town Hall was a big hit! Folks from eight area agencies provided weatherization help and information about rebates to 46 attendees. The Town utilized funding from the state's Municipal Energy Resilience Program (MERP) and appreciated support from Wheelock Community Initiative to put on the event. See photos here.

Wheelock’s "big" Little Library at Town Hall has a newly repaired door. It's monitored and frequently restocked. Feel free to come and bring or take a book or a game.

The "little" Little Library built by students at St. Johnsbury Academy is now set up at Chandler Pond Farm on the farm stand porch. See photos here.

We deliver welcome baskets to new, year-round residents and sympathy baskets to the families of recently deceased Wheelock residents.
WHEELOCK VILLAGE WALKABILITY
With support from an AARP mini-grant in 2023, we conducted a walkability audit along Rte. 122 in Wheelock village. The route is a busy, east-west connector between Rtes. 5, 16 and Interstate 89. No safe pathways, and traffic speeds above the posted 35 mph signs make it unsafe for walking and force residents to drive within the village. Thank you to the Town of Wheelock for serving as our fiscal sponsor. Read more.
We worked alongside the Town of Wheelock with Vermont Council on Rural Development Community Visit Program on the Wheelock’s Future forums in 2020. Read the Wheelock report here.
